The Lord can take away the Things or People that He freely Gave
God is sovereign. He created this world. He is powerful, and He can do all things. We must not forget who He truly is because if we don’t have any clue about what He did, we will have the tendency to own what He gave. You are living in a world where everything is borrowed, and that includes your life and the lives of the people you love. Please keep in mind that God determines what He will give to us, and He also decides when He will take them. Let’s not treat ourselves as if we deserve every blessing that He gave. Yes, we are His children, but we can only be pleasing in His eyes the moment we accept the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross. It’s His blood alone that can purify and make us whole. The truth is, we are here all because of God’s love and grace. It’s not about our own work and efforts. But it’s all about His goodness and mercy in our lives.
We are just travellers in this world. We won’t stay here forever. Everything that He gave is temporary. If you can’t accept this truth, then you will always find it hard to let go of certain things or people. You will keep on holding on to certain situations as if you have the power to control them. The sad part is you are not powerful to stop all the brokenness and pain from happening. What you can do is simply surrender. You need to acknowledge God’s sovereignty and believe with all your heart that His wisdom is beyond your own understanding.
So if He happens to take away something or someone from you and you are not yet ready, then keep in mind that you are living in a borrowed world. God alone determines when He will take back the blessings that He freely gave to you. So instead of blaming Him for what you lost, may you have a humble heart to thank Him for allowing you to receive those blessings even in a short period of time. This may not be that easy, and your heart may be consumed with pain, but what you experienced before you lost them is now replaced with memories that you can carry with you everywhere you go. Look at them as His temporary gifts for you.
God knows what He is doing. He sees what’s ahead. And things may not make sense to you right now, but remember that even if you won’t experience the life you badly wanted to have because of what you lost, God’s presence is still more than enough to complete you. He will always be there, giving you the grace that you need to move forward. And from then on, please don’t treat everything that you have as your own. All of them are just borrowed from God.
