The Pain inside Doesn’t give you the License to Hurt Others

You can never avoid pain. Life will give you uncertainties, and the people around you may hurt you in so many ways. That’s why the best thing that you can do is to learn how to deal with it. Never allow bitterness to reign inside your heart because it will slowly destroy your relationship with other people. It will manipulate your mind and push you to do things that you will regret in the end. So if you don’t know how to manage your emotions, then come to God, and He will be the one who will teach you how to do it. Release everything to Him and share all your negative thoughts. He will always listen to you. His love will take away the bitterness in your heart.

Do not dwell on your emotions because you might cause pain to other people. If you keep on thinking about the negative things that happened in your life, then it will also reflect in your actions. You will find it hard to do good things because you allow the pain to control you. Yes, you have to acknowledge it, but never make it as your god. Focus on the good things that happened around you, and let God’s goodness be your guide. The lies that you hear will slowly turn into negative behavior that will destroy somebody’s life. Choose to listen to the voice of God, for He alone knows your true identity.

Let God move inside your heart. Embrace His love and humbly follow His ways. Seek His kingdom even if you are in pain. Focus on His power so that you will not be tempted to take revenge. God will teach you how to release forgiveness. He will lead you to the place where you can rest and receive His peace. Let the pain you feel teach you lessons that will change your life for the better. Do not stay in the darkness. Let go of the bitterness and abide in God’s ways. All you need to do is open your heart so that He can come in and reign inside. When you encounter His love, your perspective will also change.

Accept the truth that pain is part of life. Stop blaming the people around you. Yes, they always have the choice but know that they are also human. They are not perfect, and just like you, they also commit mistakes along the way. Just don’t anchor your identity based on other people’s actions. You are God’s beloved, and no one else can change that, not even in the people who broke your heart.
