There are Seasons when God wants you to Learn How to Tap your own Shoulders
You can’t always depend on the people around you. There are moments in life when it’s just you and God. You can’t feel the presence of your family and friends. And those seasons are not always bad. You may face things on your own, but God is just teaching you how to stop expecting other people to be there. He wants you to learn how to tap your own shoulders. He wants you to discover the ways on how you can push yourself to move forward. It’s part of self-love. You need to do it because others are also fighting some battles, and there’s no assurance that they will always be there when you need them. So learn to walk with God and be confident even if you don’t know where you are heading. Trust that you are growing from within.
Acknowledge the truth that people can’t always offer you a helping hand. Just like you, there are also seasons when they feel like they are in the middle of a dark tunnel and still coping up. So instead of expecting them to always support and listen to you, depend on God and abide in His love. Remember that He is perfect, and He will never disappoint you. Come to Him, and He will teach you how to cheer yourself up. He will inspire you to love and support yourself along the process.
Tapping your own shoulders means that you need to learn how to comfort yourself. It’s part of maturity. It’s the time when God will give you the strength that you need to keep going. He will empower you to do great things, and it’s one of the most intimate moments you can spend with Him. When you face difficult challenges, your experiences with Him will be the ultimate driving force that will help you overcome your problems. You may not see it, but your relationship with God is growing and getting deeper in this season. So be patient and keep holding His hands.
When you learn to handle yourself through the help of God, you will also have the strength to cheer somebody and give them the support that they need. You will learn to understand people and give them the opportunity to grow because that’s what God did in your life. You will be more patient, and the most wonderful part is, He will teach you how to minister to them. And because of your intimate season with God, you will be able to connect with other people in ways you can never imagine.
