To the Grieving Hearts who are Still trying to Survive
You are not alone. Every day may feel like a battle and misery, but know that God is sustaining you in this season. No one can really describe what you feel inside. It seems like your whole world is crashing down. You may miss the people who made you feel loved and accepted but keep in mind that the days you had with them were like treasures that you can always keep inside. The life you spend with them will never be wasted. Those precious moments became part of who you are. You may lose the people you deeply cherish, but they become part of your deepest core. They will remain in your life even if you can no longer see them. They are still alive in your heart. You can still see their smiles and hear their laughter through the memories that you had with them.
Things won’t be easy, but God is embracing you. He is mourning with you. He is there, giving you the comfort that you need. You may not always feel His presence, but He is moving. Take your time. Allow the tears to flow. God is collecting them. Express what you feel to your Heavenly Father. Know that He is listening to you. He witnessed the journey that you had with the people you love. That’s why He truly understands what you feel inside. He knows the reasons behind your tears. You may miss them a lot, but know that God will make way for you. Your journey with them may be over, but God will give you the strength to keep going. He will do something great in your life.
Better days are coming. It doesn’t mean that the people who left will come back, but God will pour out the grace that you need. Your life will no longer be the same. There will be days when you feel like there’s something missing. A part of you will try to bring back memories of the past, but even if you are struggling, know that God will give you reasons to move forward. You may think that your life will never be whole because of the people who left, but God will perform miracles. He will let you experience what it feels like to receive His indescribable grace.
You will get through it. God will turn the pain into a purpose. He will restore you in ways you can never imagine. This won’t happen immediately but patiently go through the process. Release the pain. Cry it out to God, and He will help you. He is holding your hands in this season. It’s okay if you can’t get up yet. God will patiently wait until you learn to trust Him. He won’t take the pain away, but He will turn it into a precious treasure that your soul can always keep.
