To The One Who Is Holding Back The Tears
You may find it hard to express what you truly feel to the people around you, but you deserve to be heard. If you can’t do it in front of others, then don’t hesitate to be honest in God’s presence. Go to your room, lock the door, and pour out to God everything. Tell Him the truth. Do not hold back the tears because it’s part of the process. Just because you cry doesn’t mean you are weak. It just means you bravely acknowledged the wounds you wanted God to heal. He is not intimidated by your questions. So release everything in His presence, and you will receive His strength.
It’s okay to feel weak in the presence of God. It only means that you trust Him enough to comfort you. Be vulnerable to Him because that’s how you can connect to His heart. Give Him access to the deepest part of your soul, and His love will take over. In His arms, you don’t have to hold back the tears. You can tell Him all your worries and cares. He will never condemn or talk bad about your situation. In fact, He will remind you of your true identity and purpose. He will open your eyes to the wonderful opportunities you fail to notice. God will give you more than enough grace.
Allow yourself to go through the process. Don’t expect your heart to instantly heal after surrendering everything to God. Most of the time, you will still go through a series of situations wherein you must choose between complete healing or immediate gratification. Sometimes, you need to consistently remind yourself that God’s ways are better than yours. His timeline may not always align with your plans, but He always knows what’s best because He sees what is waiting for you on the other side. Just abide in His presence, and you will always be guided.
Your tears are a gift from God. They are actually powerful reminders that you badly need God’s strength. They will push you to believe not in your own understanding but in His will. Tears are priceless treasures that are stored up in heaven. You won’t appreciate them for now because the wounds are still fresh, but when God moves, you will realize that He never wasted all your tears. So let them flow. Don’t hold them back. Let them wash and purify your soul. Only then will you slowly appreciate God’s strength and grace.
