Treat your job as an opportunity for you to glorify God

There is a reason why God gave you that kind of job. You may think that it’s for the sake of earning money, but there’s a deeper purpose why you are in that. God is giving you a very big opportunity right now. This is your time to share to the people around you who Jesus is by how you talk, move, and perform your duties. Let His light shine, and you will experience miracles in your life. Sometimes, it’s not an easy thing to do, especially when you are surrounded by people who don’t believe in Him, but the more you show them who God is by the way you treat them, the more you will experience Jesus in your life.

You spend most of your time in your workplace, so you might as well use it as an avenue for you to honor God and make His Name known. You never know, He will use your story to bless one of your workmates. You just have to allow Him to use your life. Treat yourself as God’s vessel so that His love will overflow to the broken people around you.

Choose to serve your workmates. There may be moments when you find it challenging to help and respect them because of how they treat you but remember that they are God’s beloved. Love them the way God loves you, and imagine that as you do good things to them, you are also doing it for God. It’s part of loving Him. And when you do that, there will be positive changes around you. It won’t happen instantly, but as long as you are consistent enough to follow His instructions, then expect that He will also touch the heart of the people around you.

Don’t just focus on getting your job done. Look at the people around you and be more sensitive to their needs. Try to offer some help even in little things, and you will make their day brighter. Your simple acts of service will turn into a seed that will bear fruit even through eternity. Don’t worry because everything you do for God’s glory will never be wasted. Instead, it will all become treasures that will make you feel so fulfilled within.

Do your best and give your all. Don’t just do your job half-heartedly. Imagine that God is your boss and He is watching over you. Treat your managers or team leader as God’s representative here on earth. Respect them as His children. Treat your output as something that will reflect the wisdom and skills that God gave you. Dare to make a difference. If you are surrounded by people who just do a mediocre job, then be the one who will show them that Jesus deserves excellent service.

He is cheering you up. He is supporting you all along the way. He will give you what you need. Just open your heart and mind so that He can give you the instructions. He is an all-knowing God. It means that He knows the best way for you to excel in your work. Rely on His wisdom, and you will be amazed by what will happen next. He will give you promotions and breakthroughs. Put Him first, and everything else will follow. Include Him in your daily tasks and priorities. Only then will you experience a life full of His love and grace.

Lastly, pray before you start your work. Declare God’s promises so that you will start and end your day in His presence. Ask for His guidance and continuously talk to Him. If you feel so stressed and pressured by the goals and tasks that you have. Just talk to God and pray for His strength. He will give it to you. He is your loving Father, and He gave you that job because of His divine purpose. Abide in His will, and you will look at your job as a blessing. Things won’t always be easy, especially when you consistently connect with broken and imperfect people. Your workplace may be challenging, but remember that God already gave you the things you need even before He gave you that job. You just need to learn how to use them for His glory and not for your own benefit. With arms wide open, receive what He gave you and maximize them so that you will become a blessing to other people.
