Try to Live this Life with an Eternal Perspective
You can’t stay in this world forever, but you can absolutely spend eternity with your Heavenly Father. So don’t treat this life as if it’s nothing. In everything that you do, always remember that there is an eternal consequence to it. Sin will lead you to suffer, but righteousness and love will bring you to heaven. You just need to choose the path that will give you rest. Now the thing is, you can’t always do what’s right on your own. You need Jesus to guide and lead you. You need His precious blood to cleanse and purify your soul. He is the only One who can take you to heaven simply because you can’t save yourself. The pure and holy blood of the lamb is what you need to enter heaven. So with this in mind, you need to do things not for the sake of temporary pleasures but for the purpose of living with God throughout eternity.
Life feels different if you only have an eternal perspective. Don’t just stay in your situation and think that the present is the only hope that you have. You may not see what’s ahead but keep your faith. You never really know what God prepared for you until you get there. Remember that heaven is real. It means that no matter how difficult and painful your situation is, there is still hope for you. God prepared a place where you can find rest. In that place, you will no longer experience pain. Your tears will stop flowing, and your heart will be fully healed. So don’t quit yet. Just because you experience a storm in life doesn’t mean things won’t get better.
Offer the works of your hands for the glory of God. Do it not out of selfish desires, but remember that God is watching. He is aware of your story. He knows what’s in your heart. So if you think that life is just about doing things that you want, then you are wrong. You will never experience the fullness of what God prepared if you won’t consult and follow His voice. He holds the manual. He alone knows how we should operate and steward His resources. We can’t just follow our own understanding. We need to humbly ask for His instructions. We need to learn how to abide in His ways even if sometimes, His promises don’t make sense.
Choose to live for Jesus. Serve Him while you are still here on earth. Allow Him to teach you what it means to love and forgive. Let His grace empower you to keep moving, especially in seasons when you are so tired and exhausted. Just stay in His arms and enjoy His company. Treat Him as your best friend and keep doing His will. It may not be that easy, especially when you are bombarded with so many tragic events, but know that all the pain will never be in vain. Keep in mind that heaven is waiting.
