His Word

Turn To God And Share To Him What You Truly Feel

Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. Relieve the troubles of my heart and free me from my anguish.

Psalms 25: 16-17, NIV

The verses in the book of Psalms were like prayers from the heart of David. It contains His deepest cry and longing in moments of sadness and pain. In times of trouble and victory, David would express his worship of God through hymns and songs. And in Psalms 25, David reminded us that he was also human. He also felt lonely. His heart was also troubled. But despite this, he fixed his gaze on the Lord and reminded himself that He is faithful and loving.

Just like David, there are also days when we feel lonely and troubled. There are moments when we can’t understand what’s going on in our lives. Things were out of control, the situation around you was chaotic, and you felt overwhelmed. If you are in that season right now, then remember what David did. Turn to God and share with Him what you truly feel. Ask for His help and call upon His name. Don’t hesitate to seek His presence because, in Him, you will find comfort and peace.

Ask for His grace. Sometimes, we just can’t do things on our own. We need God’s strength to help and equip us. We just can’t trust our own understanding. God created us with human limitations. That’s why we need His grace to sustain us throughout the journey. It’s His love that will equip us to stand and do what He asks us to do.

God understands your lonely and troubled heart. He knows the reasons why you felt that way. That’s why you can be so vulnerable in His arms. You can cry and pour out everything. In fact, He can set you free from your anguish. He can heal and give you the hope that you need so that you can start again. Just humbly acknowledge Him in your life, and His hands will move. He will perform miracles behind the scenes.

You can be honest to God. He won’t judge or condemn you. He won’t remind you of your mistakes nor blame you for the wrong things you did. He will accept you with arms wide open. He will embrace you with His love, and you can trust in His judgment.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for always being there, especially when I am weary and tired. Thank you for not leaving me behind. Thank you for keeping me safe in your arms. Please remind me to trust in your love, especially when I am in pain. Please give me a humble heart to trust in your ways and promises. I pray for more of you in my life. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
