Self Development

We all have Thorns that other People needs to Accept and Acknowledge

Humans are not perfect. One way or another, we all have the tendency to unknowingly hurt other people, especially those who love us. We live in a broken world. At some point, we will go through difficult seasons in life. So be patient, especially in moments when you can’t understand yourself. Deal with the wounds inside, and know that your healing takes time. If you happen to unintentionally hurt other people, then please stop condemning yourself. Choose to ask forgiveness and embrace the grace of God. Acknowledge the truth that you are also growing. And that means you will still commit so many mistakes along the way. Be humble and appreciate those people who chose to stay with you despite the pain.

Forgive yourself. There are certain things that you can’t change in an instant. It takes courage and strength to do it. So when you can’t still do the right thing, just figure out why you can’t see any transformation. Maybe you are just scared, or perhaps you started to hate yourself for not reaching your own expectations. You need to look deeper so that you will be able to handle the root cause of your behavior. When you choose to understand yourself, you will also learn to extend the grace of God, especially in the most painful areas of your life.

Be patient with the healing process. It’s not going to be easy. There are times when you just want to blame and condemn yourself. But you will only make things worse if you keep on thinking about what you did wrong. Acknowledge your mistakes and choose to persevere. Listen to God and enjoy your adventure with Him. Humbly accept your thorns, and you will learn to open your heart so that other people can come in and love you for who you are. When that day comes, you will realize what God’s grace is all about. It’s about serving others despite all the difficulties you face.

Choose to be a better person. Learn the lesson and allow God to heal the wounds. Surrender to Him all the pain so that other people will no longer suffer from your actions. Let Him teach you how to properly deal with your thorns so that you will know how to love the people around you. This will take some time, but all you need to do is be patient and be grateful for the people that God sent to walk with you throughout the journey because they will be challenged to accept your thorns along the way.
