We Are Not Only Forgiven, But We Are Also Justified In Him
We are forgiven not because of the good things we did and the price we paid. But it’s all because of Jesus. This forgiveness wasn’t just paid out of convenience, but it was birthed out of suffering. The man who loved us died on the cross to save us. This is a hard pill to swallow, especially when you are the kind of person who finds it hard to forgive others. Imagine a man who knew no sin sacrificially offered his life; He became the spotless and blameless lamb who took away the sins of this word.
Forgiveness is costly, it comes with a price that Jesus already paid in full. And this is a message of hope for us. That every time we see ourselves living in the darkness, Jesus is calling us to receive His forgiveness. He is asking us to believe that He could purify and cleanse our soul.
We are forgiven not because of our own efforts but because of the precious blood of Jesus that was poured out for us on the cross. His forgiveness is an invitation for us to have an intimate relationship with. It’s Him, telling us that His love is greater than the sins we committed.
And we are not only forgiven, but we are also justified in Him. It means that He already set us free from the bondages of sin. He no longer needed our explanations. He accepted us with open arms, without any judgment or condemnation. Jesus gave us another chance to live this life in freedom. And He did it all out of love.
So, if you haven’t received Jesus in your life, then this is a powerful reminder for you. He loves you so much and He already forgave you. He is just waiting for you to come to His arms. Get to know Him. Encounter His love and let Him reign. Only then will you realize what it means to receive His forgiveness.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for giving us the chance to discover your love. Thank you for your presence in our lives. Thank you for your mercy and forgiveness. We pray that you will teach us how to receive your love every single day. Please give us the humility to receive your grace in our lives. This we ask, and pray, in Jesus’ name, amen.
