We Can’t Harvest Anything Without Planting Any Seeds First
It’s okay to sleep and rest, but loving it to the point of being lazy is no longer a good thing. Sometimes, when we are so consumed with what we want, we simply follow our instincts regardless of the consequences. We somehow patronize immediate gratification to the point of compromising the work we must exert.
We can’t harvest anything without planting any seeds first. The effort and the time we offered were like seeds that will someday bear fruits if we will only persevere and stay consistent. This very practical proverb is an important reminder for us to prioritize the important things. By staying awake and focusing on the tasks at hand, we are sowing the seeds of our future success. This is a call to action, a reminder to stay determined and focused on what truly matters.
Working in the presence of God is so fulfilling. It’s like you have a powerful yet very kind master. It’s like doing things that are accompanied by His favor and grace. In Him, you will be reminded about the purpose why you chose to work in the first place. He will fill your heart with wisdom and right motives. That’s why, give your best, not just to achieve the results that you wanted but to glorify God in the end.
Let’s remember that we are all responsible of the resources that He gave us. One way or another, we are tasked to steward His blessings. Sometimes, those are ordinary blessings that we daily receive, like the time that we have, and the chances that He gave. May we learn to faithfully take good care of what He entrusted us, so that one day, He will also give us an opportunity to become a vessel that will bless others.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for reminding us to be faithful to the desires that you planted in our hearts. Thank you for giving us another chance to give our best to the things that you entrusted us. Please give us the courage to obey your will, especially when we feel lost and weak. Give us a heart that’s willing to abide in your ways. Teach us how to serve you with all our hearts, mind, and soul. This we ask, in Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
