Who are God’s children?
For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
Romans 8:14, NIV
Do you want to know who the children of God are? They are those who are led by His Spirit. You will recognize them by their behaviors and the way they talk. If you believe that you are one of them, then try to answer these questions.
Is the Holy Spirit living in you?
Are you following Him?
Or you choose to listen to your own opinions and understanding?
The real sons and daughters of God knows how to treat Him as a Father. It means that they respect and love Him with all their hearts. So let God be the ruler of your life and allow His Spirit to guide you.
Do not live on your own. Acknowledge the truth that you need God’s wisdom. Let Him teach you and pray for a humble heart that’s always willing to obey His words. Remember that you can’t fully embrace the blessings that God gave you without the conviction of the Holy Spirit. You need Him and His power. So come to Him and stop dealing with your problems on your own.
The Spirit of God can do so many miracles in your life. The following are the powerful things that you can expect from Him:
- He will purify your soul.
God’s Spirit will speak to your heart, and He will reveal the things that hinder you from following His instructions. He will walk with you all throughout the deliverance and healing process. There will be moments when you unknowingly do things out of negative motives, and the Spirit Himself will be the One who will expose what’s in your heart. Sometimes, it’s going to be painful because He will let you see the wounds inside, but the process will be worth it. When you see the changes that God is doing in your soul, you will learn to value the struggles and pain that you experience.
2. The Holy Spirit will guide you.
He will be the One who will inspire you to do the right thing even if it’s hard. He will open the right doors and send you the right people. If you live with Him, you will surely walk through the path that He prepared. It doesn’t mean that there will be no detours ahead. You will still go through challenges, but the good thing is, you will receive enough strength, and the grace of God will be there to sustain you. The journey may be tough, but His presence will help you feel secure and protected.
3. He will reveal to you your true identity.
People may say bad things about you, but if you are led by the Spirit of God, you will not be easily shaken by what you hear from others. It’s because you know who you are in His eyes. If you live as His son or daughter, then you will receive the inheritance that He gave you through our savior, Jesus Christ. Your confidence will be rooted in His love and not in your own efforts and strengths.
You have everything you need the moment you allow the Holy Spirit to reign inside of you. Your life will change. You will experience His grace and peace. That’s how you will know the children of God. They are filled by the power of the Holy Spirit. They never leave life according to their own will. Instead, they chose to acknowledge God’s power. They allowed His Spirit to take over.
May you also do the same thing. And above all else, may your life be an example, especially to those people who never know what it means to be a child of God.
