Who you are with is more Important than the Journey or the Destination
The tears, victories, difficulties, disappointments, and joy you will experience along the journey are crucial. The dreams you wish to happen, the deepest desires of your heart, and the exact thing that you long for – they are all wonderful. But at the end of the day, when you look back to your past, you will realize the value of the journey not just because of your experiences but because of the One who’s holding your hands. The destination will be more meaningful because you are not alone. You will recall those times when He wiped away your tears. You will rejoice in those moments when you did exciting things with Him. All the memories will serve as treasures not just because of what you experienced but because you shared your life with Someone who never leaves your side.
Do not dwell too much on what you’ll experience along the journey. Take the lessons with you, but don’t focus on your situation. Learn to also consider the people that God sent. Enjoy their company, and you will slowly learn to let go of the struggles that you face along the way. The weight of your problems will be lighter if you will learn to share your life with others. Choose to journey with those people who truly care for you. Acknowledge their presence, and you will have the courage to keep moving. Their perspective and motivation in life will also empower you to do your best. You will learn so many things from them. And in moments when you feel so alone, you can absolutely make use of their presence to remind you that there is still hope despite the challenges.
You can think about your destination but see to it that you don’t miss the precious lives that God wanted you to cherish. They are wonderful blessings from Him. It’s His way of reminding you that the life He created is not boring. It’s actually a wonderful adventure if you will only learn to look at them as His gifts and treasures. When you realize their value, you will also have an idea about God’s amazing love for you. When you look at them as His vessel, you will be overwhelmed by the way He used them just to help you in your journey.
God has been walking with you all along. He is there, leading you to the great blessings that He prepared. Be sensitive to His presence, and only then will you realize how wonderful it is to travel this life with a trusted companion. Everything will be worth it as long as you choose to journey with Him. He is just waiting for you to hold His hands. Will you treat Him as your travel buddy? Will you consider Him as the reason why you wanted to finish your journey?
