You Are Not Headed To The Past So Stop Looking At It
I know that we are just humans, and we are not perfect, but even though we commit mistakes in life, that doesn’t mean we no longer have the chance to grow and recover. Maybe you made terrible decisions before, and you wanted to go back so that you can still change what happened. That’s why you keep on looking at what’s behind, but it’s time for you to stop. You can never turn back the time and do the things that you wanted to do. You need to look at what’s ahead of you. You can’t change your past, but you can possibly do something in your present and apply the lessons you learned. Above all, you can still make changes in your life and prepare yourself for the future.
You will feel so stagnant if you keep on looking at the past. Regrets will only pull you down. Yes, you have so many “what ifs” in life, but you will fail to apply the lessons you learned if you remind yourself about the mistakes you made. Please give yourself the chance to grow. Give yourself some room to try new things and commit mistakes because only then will you learn to see things differently. Maybe you blame and condemn yourself for what happened, but it’s time for you to release forgiveness and allow yourself to experience freedom.
Look forward and focus on the great things that God planned for you. I believe there’s an important reason why God doesn’t allow you to forget the painful memories you have. Maybe He wants you to appreciate the things that He did in your life and make it in as an inspiration for you to move forward. Remember the faithfulness of God. He was able to rescue you in the past so let it serve as an assurance that God will take good care of you no matter what happens. He will always be there for you. Trust that He will lead you to the right path. So turn your eyes to the great blessings that He prepared for you.
Your past can never dictate your future. You are not your mistakes. Never allow the things that happened before to hinder you from fulfilling your dreams in life. Let your experiences mold you into a better person. Take the lesson with you and change the things that are under your control. Work on improving yourself and focus on the positive things that happened in your life. Remember that you are headed to the place that God prepared for you. So focus on the light, and let it guide you to the right path.
