You can never move Forward if you allow your Regrets to consume your Thoughts
Turn your regrets into lessons and then choose to move forward. Forgive yourself and remember that you are just a human. You are not perfect. It means that you will commit mistakes along the way. You will discover things that are painful, and you will go through so many adjustments in life. God will take you to different seasons. He will let you experience new things, and you will find yourself struggling. These are all part of the long journey. You are not meant to treat every detour as your destination. Sometimes, you need to look beyond what you experienced. You need to widen your perspective and focus on what matters most in the end. When your mind is too occupied with your failures, you won’t be able to appreciate the blessings around you. So look up, and seek wisdom from above.
God will teach you how to handle your mistakes in life. The Holy Spirit will be there to give you the right mindset. He will reveal to you the wisdom behind what you are going through. Please don’t rely on your own understanding. You will find your situation so overwhelming if you will just only listen to your thoughts. Read the scripture, and there you will find so many principles that will help you overcome your struggles. You will learn the way God handles His people, especially when they commit mistakes. When you expose yourself to His words, you will realize how gracious God is.
Give yourself a chance to grow. Allow yourself to explore this life according to God’s ways. Don’t be too harsh with yourself. Sometimes, the only thing that hinders you from growing is your expectation about yourself. You tend to label yourself according to your own standards. That’s why you find it hard to move forward. Because, in the first place, you can’t simply accept that you committed a terrible mistake. Remember that God is gracious. So extend that grace to your wounded heart. Humbly accept God’s love, and you will receive His comfort and strength. When you acknowledge His presence in your life, you will also have the courage to move forward.
Keep walking and carry the lessons with you. Don’t allow the pain to hinder you from living the future that God prepared. Learn the lessons and apply them. Keep them in your heart and choose to surrender your regrets to God. Let Him turn them into a source of courage that will push you to do your best. Let His goodness reminds you that better days are still ahead. Let His overflowing blessings give you the inspiration that you need to overcome difficulties. Lay down all your burdens to God, and He will walk with you.
