You can’t Control what other People are Thinking
No matter what you do, you can’t force other people to think good about you. They have their own filters, standards, and expectations. And you can never control them. They perceive things according to their own experiences, and it has nothing to do with you. Their judgments about you are not just based on your actions, but it’s how they see things. They may give you unfair treatments, but what’s important is you know who you are and whose you are. So instead of thinking about what other people might say, choose to focus on God, and He will teach you how to live this life according to His will. Remember that you can’t please everyone. You will live this life in misery if you keep on thinking about others’ judgment. Set your eyes on the love of God, and you will be guided.
Do things for God. Let the works of your hands glorify His name. Stop pleasing other people. Focus on the things that He wants you to do. This life is not about gaining honor for yourself, but it’s about pleasing your Father in Heaven. This world may have a different standard, and you may think that you need to reach other people’s expectations so that you will gain their approval, but at the end of the day, they can never satisfy your heart. Only God knows how to fill that emptiness inside. Let His love consume you, and you will feel so contented even if you hear negative comments from others.
Remind yourself that you are God’s beloved. He alone knows who you truly are simply because He created you. Other people don’t have the right to judge you. They don’t know your story and the things that are going on in your life. Never allow their words to break you into pieces. Fix your eyes on your loving Father, and He will build your foundation. In Him, you will never be shaken no matter how many storms you will face. You will stay rooted in His arms because He is powerful. When you encounter His love, you will realize that He is more than enough.
What matters most is how God sees you. Other people’s opinions can never dictate your future. Just because you hear negative words from them doesn’t mean you are already a failure. You are who God says you are. He formed you in your mother’s womb. He has been with you all along. And no matter what you do, He will never stop loving you. So keep your faith and stop controlling other people.
