You have Control Over Yourself and How you would Respond to Things
You do not have to withhold yourself from the things that are not meant for you. There are times that you would think about everything that you have invested in. It would sometimes lead you to wonder how you would have done it in better ways. The what-ifs would start crawling in your mind and make you ask questions that would feed your regrets. But please remember that many things are not in your control. However, you can take charge of yourself and how you respond to things. And that is a precious gift that God has given you.
You just have to understand yourself better to think well. Feed your mind with His word and remind yourself how He shows love. He will not judge. When your thoughts aren’t good, submit them to Him. Tell Him how those thoughts distract you. Surrender them to Him. Remember, not all thoughts that your mind has are worthy of your attention. Your mind can be very deceiving. So lean on God so that you will have the ability to discern His ways.
Work within yourself and the things that are in your heart. Throw away your selfish pleasures. Don’t cling to something that could only give instant gratification. Keep in mind that He wants you to love yourself more. He wants you to know that you have control of your actions. When He wants you to let go of things, it means that you are about to experience greater pain. If instructed you to do it then for sure He will give you enough strength. Remember that He will not let you do something beyond your capabilities. He believes in you and is rooting for you. He will always cheer you up. So, if you are afraid to let go, hold on to His promise for a better you.
Surrender your pride and offer them to God. Sometimes He would send people in your life that would test your patience. Use it to exercise your faith. When people test you, remind yourself that it is not you versus the person, but about you and your patience. Remember, you cannot control people, but you can choose how to respond. Let those events in your life teach you to be humble and have a listening heart.
Evaluate your principles in life and the changes that you have to make. Do not pressure yourself. Instead, remember the promises that He has in store for you. Wait for things to unfold in your life. Continue to learn something and grow your faith. It’s okay if you get tired. But always remember to get up again and continue. Life is not a race, but you have to keep on going.
Let go, learn, and move on when things do not turn out the way you planned. Remember that He wants to work within you. Just trust that God is making a way. Just believe Him because He has the wisdom that never matches anyone else.
