You Won’t Be Able To Discover Who You Are Until You Let Go Of Who You Were

The things that happened in your past will greatly affect your identity if you won’t stop thinking about those painful moments. If you keep on reminding yourself about the darkness that you experienced, then you will stay who you are before, and you will find it hard to discover your true identity in the Lord. It’s time for you to let go and experience God’s healing. You are created with God-given talents and potential. But sad to say, you will fail to discover who you truly are if you will continue to live in the past. God can transform you into a better person if you will just allow Him. So stop holding on to your pain and surrender all of it in the arms of God.

You are not your mistakes. Maybe you condemned yourself for what happened before, and you never released forgiveness because of the pain you experienced, but you need to set yourself free. Choose to receive the love of God, and you will learn to accept your imperfections inside. His mercy will teach you how to accept what happened, and slowly, you will learn to forgive yourself. You can only find healing in the arms of God. He alone will reveal to you your true identity. You are not a failure. We all commit mistakes, but what’s important is we choose to stand up after we encounter setbacks in life.

When you receive Jesus Christ in your heart, you will be a new creation. The old has gone, and the new has come. You will never be the same, and your life will be transformed by His great love. So if you think that your past is trying to hold you from moving forward, then just make Jesus the King of your heart, and His love will set you free. Let Him be the Lord of your life, and you will experience the kind of love that truly satisfies you deep within.

Accept the fact that we will all change as a person. We need to experience a lot of things so that we will grow deep within. And most of the time, we will encounter challenges so that we will develop and become mature on the inside. Problems and trials are part of life. It’s there to build us up into a better person. So if the negative situations in the past really break your heart, you need to let it go so that you will learn to embrace the new you.
