Your Failures can never define you
Our shortcomings are sometimes exposed in unexpected times in unexpected places. We were beyond prepared to do something, but things could still get out of control. Moments come when we unconsciously show our weakness. We may cry, weep, suffer, go through rough times and even start to lose our motivations. We could also lose our interest and inspiration. But what if all of these drawbacks that we are experiencing can be God’s way of finding favor in us? What if He uses them for us to realize the greater purpose?
Have you ever imagined how you get to where you are right now? It may be because it is part of what you prayed for. The job that you tiringly get up every day may be what you asked for before. The shelter you built your home to maybe part of what you used to desire. The people you are with may be part of what you dreamed of.
See, you are where you are right now because of His grace. You are who you are right now because of His faithfulness. God blesses you in ways we sometimes lose sight of. Occasionally, we see only the goal and not the step where our feet are at the moment. But if you try to look back and realize, all of these things are possible because of His grace in your life.
God finds favor in you more than how you know yourself. The shortcomings that you had and your experiences never blocked His favor in you. Try to look and observe how blessed you are. Try to see how God sees you and how He blesses you. Remember, God works in ways we cannot see. He does things that we can never explain. Let us not box God’s greatness using our own scale because He is enormous and limitless. God finds favor in you. Your drawbacks are His chance to show you more of what He can do in your life.
Carve in your heart and mind that you are never a downfall; you just fell
You are not a loser; you just have to learn something.
You are not a failure; you just need more to win.
You are not less, but you are still in the process.
See your shortcomings as not a product of your wrong decision but an instrument of putting God’s favor in you. Let it be a way for us to see how His grace works in our lives and how it can perform more extraordinary things beyond what we expect.
