A Safe Place to Hide
We all need a place where we can freely expose our weaknesses – a place where we are free to cry and just be honest with ourselves. We need people who accept the worst stories of our past at the same time willing to walk with us. In this broken world we live in, it’s so rare to find a place we can call home. We may have a house or family and friends, but that doesn’t mean they are our safe zones. One way or another, there are times when we feel so alone when we are with them. The people who should’ve known everything about us failed to discover what we truly feel inside. And that’s so heartbreaking. It’s like living inside a world full of thorns. It’s like you are swimming in muddy waters. That’s why we all need a place where we can hide away from pain – a place where we can gain strength and find rest.
You can find it in the arms of Jesus. He is your home. In Him, you will discover His great love and blessings. He will give you the strength that you need. If you can’t understand what you feel, then He is always there to give you a hug because He knows the reason behind your tears. He is with you, and He sees the condition of your heart. He also went through pain while He was here on earth. That’s why, He knows what it feels like to be broken, rejected, and condemned. Jesus carried our cross, and He chose to offer His life so that we would experience more of Him. He desires for our attention. And He deserves our love and affection.
Come back home. Jesus is waiting for you. His arms are always there to give you a wide hug. He is always ready to give you the grace that you need. In Him, you don’t have to keep proving yourself. He knows your worth even if you don’t do anything. He can be your safe zone. You can always trust in His great love for you. Go back to your Savior, and He will help you fight your battles. You can rest in His presence. All He needs you to do is to make yourself available for His power. Open your heart and allow Him to come in. Don’t worry because He will never hurt you. In fact, He stayed faithful to you even before you knew His love.
You are not alone. Jesus is walking with you all throughout the journey. You can’t feel His presence because your eyes are too focused on other things. Your mind is so occupied with what happened in the past that you can no longer appreciate His ways. He is with you, and He will never leave you. So cast all your pain into His arms, and He will carry you through. He will take you to the place where you can find some rest. Gaze upon His glorious throne, and you will realize how blessed you are because you have Him by your side.
