Appreciate the People Around you even in the Simple Things that they Do

Don’t wait for something big and extravagant to happen before you learn to appreciate the people around you. Just be grateful for their presence because not everyone is given a chance to experience the kind of relationships that you have. Learn to thank your family for the love that they poured out for you, even in moments when you fail to see the goodness in their hearts. Choose to be grateful for your friends. You never really know how much they care for you. Treasure the blessings that God poured out for you, especially those who keep on supporting you along the journey. You may have some expectations inside, but stop focusing on the things that they fail to do. Instead, thank them for staying with you even in moments when you are not okay.

You are so blessed. You are surrounded by people who love you. They may fail to show you what they truly feel, but deep inside, they deeply care for you. Maybe you can’t appreciate them because your expectations are too high. You want them to do certain things just for you to be satisfied. And sad to say, they disappoint you, that’s why you feel that you are taken for granted. But remember that you are also surrounded by broken people. They also experience difficult days in life, and just like you, they also need love and affection. So instead of expecting too much, just learn to appreciate their presence because you never know how long they can stay with you. 

Choose to look at the brighter side. Thank them for the simple things that they do. Thank them for making you smile and for serving you every single day. Look at their efforts and compliment them for staying faithful to you. Stop focusing on the things that they did wrong. Give them some room to grow and commit mistakes. Know that they are not perfect, and just like you, they are also learning new things. Learn to understand and love them with all your heart.

Your relationship with God and other people can make your life meaningful. They can give you treasures that no one can ever take away from you. They will teach you how to love and become a better person. You will grow as you continuously learn to serve them with all your heart. We all have limited time here on earth, so instead of looking at the negative things, try your best to appreciate the blessings you received from God. And that includes the people who choose to love you despite all your flaws.
