Not All Pain Is Caused By Other People, Most Of Them Are Self-Inflicted

When we think of pain, we try to recall those people who broke our hearts. Like how we replay our favorite movies, we unconsciously do the same thing in our minds. We keep on recalling that horrible past we experienced, and that’s when we feel the hurt again. Please remind yourself that not all pain is caused by other people. There are moments when we keep on putting ourselves back to the place where we feel so hopeless. We blame ourselves for what happened, and we unknowingly hate the way we react to those things. That’s when it becomes self-inflicted. What happened was in the past, but you keep on bringing it up. Yes, it’s not easy to deal with it, but you can always make your choices.

Your identity never relies on what happened in your past. You are not a mistake, and your life has a purpose. Don’t be too hard on yourself. God never blamed you for what happened. It’s not your fault. It’s just there are really things in life that we can’t answer for now. Yes, painful things do happen, but what matters most is how we deal with them. God never intended you to feel so broken. In fact, He wants to heal your heart. All you need to do is go through the process with Him. Sometimes, His healing takes time, but if you only allow Him to move, then you will always see yourself as God’s beloved.

Stop recalling the bad memories. Instead of focusing on the negative things that happened, try to focus on the blessings that God already provided for you. Remember the goodness of God and learn to appreciate the things that He is doing in your life. Read His word and feel your mind with thoughts that will remind you of His great love. God is making way for you, but sometimes you can’t see Him move because your mind is consumed with negative things. You fail to see His hands because you choose to entertain the pain more than His healing.

You are God’s creation, and you are destined to experience freedom.  He can renew your life if you will just allow Him. You may lose hope because you can’t see what’s ahead, but trust in Him. You can always ask for help. Never stop praying and choose to ask advice from the people around you. Do not go through this journey on your own. God purposely allowed you to be surrounded by people so that you will not feel lonely along the journey. Just open your heart, and His light will guide you along the way.
