Being With God Will Never Give Us The Assurance That Life Would Be Smooth And Easy
God never left Joseph. He was with him all along the journey. Even when he went through tragedies and painful experiences in the past, he gave him the favor and blessing he needed. Even though Joseph’s life wasn’t perfect, still, God led him to victory. You see, God’s people mentioned in the bible weren’t strangers to struggles and problems. They also have their stories of breakthroughs and defeats.
Just like you, Joseph went through challenges in life. In fact, his own brothers sold and left him. He was not a stranger to pain. He also went through heartbreaking moments that should’ve led him to question God’s goodness. But that didn’t happen. Joseph stayed faithful to God despite everything. He firmly believed in His promises. And God also proved to Him that He never left his side. He gave him the wisdom that enabled him to gain the favor of the Pharoah King of Egypt.
Joseph’s life is a great reminder for us that we are not exempted from tragedies and problems. Whether we like it or not, there will be difficult days in our lives. But the question is, are we willing to keep our faith in God despite the pain we experienced? Being with God will never give us the assurance that life will be smooth and easy. Just like all His followers, we will also go through the narrow road and eventually carry our cross.
It’s a humbling experience to follow Jesus, especially during storms and challenges. It would kill our pride until what’s left is our love for Him. It’s when He will show us what His love truly means. So, as you live this life, may you continue to keep your faith even in times of suffering. Just like Joseph, may you patiently wait for His favor and blessings. May your love for God never fade.
Prayer: Father God, thank you so much for this wonderful life. There may be challenges and pain, but thank you for giving us the chance to know and encounter, especially in the difficult moments. I pray that you will give us the faith to believe in your promises. May we continue to love and serve you no matter what it takes. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
