Day 390 – Luke 5:16
But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. Luke 5:16, NIV Jesus is perfect and holy, but despite His identity, He still withdrew to lonely places and talked to God. In His busy schedule, He still has this hunger that only our Heavenly Father can fill. May this verse remind you to connect to God despite your busy schedule. Jesus doesn’t have any excuses. He humbly submits everything to God. Let His life teach you to stay rooted in His presence. Don’t underestimate His power in your life. Acknowledge His will and surrender all your worries and cares. Spend more intimate moments with Him, and you will have the…

Day 389 – Luke 5:13
Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” and immediately the leprosy left Him. Luke 5:13, nIV This is what our Savior did to the man with leprosy. After the leper asked Him to be cleaned, Jesus showed Him what love and compassion is. He could’ve healed the man just by uttering a declaration of healing, but Jesus chose to reach out and touch Him despite His contagious disease. Jesus wasn’t afraid of the things that might happen to Him, but He expressed His love by letting the man feel that He was accepted. And Jesus showed His care to the leper…

Day 388 – Luke 5:12
While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Luke 5: 12, NIV In Jesus’ time, those who have leprosy are no longer considered part of society. People stay away from them because their sickness is contagious. Aside from that, the religious leaders in their time consider it a punishment from God. They looked at the lepers as sinners who deserved to experience excruciating pain both physically and emotionally. Imagine, at this very moment, this leper walked…

Day 387 – Luke 5:11
So they pulled their boats up on the shore, left everything and followed Him. Luke 5:11, NIV Simon, James, and John witnessed a miracle that Jesus performed. He showed them what it feels like when He moves. But despite the wonderful miracle that they experienced, they did not stay with the blessing, but instead, they left everything and followed Jesus. This is a wonderful reminder for us to fix our eyes on Jesus and not on the miracles that He did in our lives. Let’s follow where He goes because it’s Him who knows our purpose here on earth. Without Him, we are nothing. He alone can lead us to…

Day 384 – Proverbs 19:20
Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise. Proverbs 19:20, NIV Do not rely on your own understanding. Listen to those who can teach you about the right thing to do. If you are surrounded by people who want to discipline you, then be grateful because that means they love you enough to stop you from walking down the wrong path. Don’t allow your emotions to reign. You can acknowledge them, but you don’t have to treat them as the ruler of your life. Listen to God. Ask for His wisdom and always consult Him. If He asks you to stop…

Day 383 – Proverbs 18:13
To answer before listening – that is folly and shame. Proverbs 18: 13, NIV Try to control your mouth first. Listen before you speak. Learn about the situation. Know the story behind a person’s behavior. Ask about the details, and don’t allow your emotions to control your actions. Yes, you want to express yourself and release what you truly feel inside, but remember that you can never find peace just by releasing painful words to others. Think before you answer. Allow God to give you the wisdom that you need. Listen not for the purpose of revenge, but do it so that you may find peace. Pray that God will…

Day 382 – Luke 4:28-29
All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. They got up, drove Him [Jesus] out of the town, and took Him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him off the cliff. Luke 4:28-29, NIV Jesus was not a crowd pleaser. The people in Nazareth were furious because of the words that He released and He wasn’t troubled by the thought that they might feel disappointed by His teachings. He chose to do what’s right and He didn’t please the people around Him. That’s why, they drove Him out of the town and attempted to throw Him…

Follow God and remember that you are not just…

Day 377 – Proverbs 8:19
My fruit is better than fine gold; what I yield surpasses choice silver. Proverbs 8:19, NIV Acquiring wisdom is better than the riches you can receive from this world. So take your time, and continue learning in His presence. Do not focus on your mistakes. Instead, set your eyes on the treasures behind your situation. Know that the precious gifts you can discover from the seasons that God allowed you to experience are more valuable than the temporary things of this world. He wants to give you an eternal reward.
