David Put His Trust Not In Mere Humans But In God
There are days when we experience betrayal, lies, and negative things from the people around us. And most of the time, fear comes because of the pain we receive from them. Fear is dangerous. It keeps us away from experiencing the great things of God. When extreme and negative emotions consume our hearts, it prevents us from hearing God’s words and instructions. That’s why David put his trust not in mere humans but in God.
We can’t control other people. No matter how much we try to protect ourselves from pain, there will be days when our hearts will be broken. You will hear unfair judgments or comments. You can’t help but acknowledge the truth that you can’t simply please others. Doing your best to get someone’s approval will lead you to a life without freedom. It’s like you are in a cage, always guarding yourself from negative things. This is why we can’t put our faith in people who easily change their minds or behavior. We can’t just base our identity according to what others say. We need to trust God.
Fighting the fears inside is not easy. It’s like being in an unseen battle. And the only thing that could cast our fear is the perfect love of God. It’s like a shield and a weapon against the lies of the enemy. His love will give us the strength to keep going. And if we stay in His presence, we will always receive the grace that will sustain us until the end. If we will put our trust in His goodness and promises, the bad things that we will experience from others will no longer be a hindrance to God’s favor and blessings.
Praise God whenever you are scared. Remember that He is powerful, and He can do all things. Trust Him even in times of loneliness. Believe that He will show up and give you the comfort you need. Remember that mere humans have no power to destroy your soul. They may physically or emotionally hurt you, but as long as you trust in God’s love, you will receive complete healing and restoration.
Prayer: Father God, thank you so much for giving me the chance to trust in you. Please remind me that behind every fear is a great opportunity for me to exercise my faith. Help me overcome the battles inside, and remind me that you are powerful than mere humans. I pray that you will fill my heart with your love, that I may learn to serve and help my enemies. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
