Day 19 -1 John 3:16
This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
1 John 3:16, NIV
Sometimes, love is about sacrifice. It’s giving the selfish desires of our hearts so that others can live. It’s offering our lives so that we can serve those people who badly need some help, just like what Jesus did on the cross. He sacrificed everything just to show us His marvelous love. That’s what love feels like. It’s always intentional, and it takes a strong commitment. It’s not easy to do it, especially when we just rely on our own strength. But if we choose to depend on God, we will always have the courage to love others, even if it’s challenging.
