Day 274 – Proverbs 1:8
Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.

Respect the words of your parents. Don’t be caught up with your own emotions. You may think that you are old enough to make decisions on your own, but seek your father and mother’s instructions. Listen to their teachings because they want what’s best for you. God blessed every parent so that they can guide their children. So treat your mother and father with honor. Respect the wisdom that God imparted to them. They already went through so many things in life. So don’t just rely on your own understanding. Trust the people that God sent and serve them with all your heart. Remember that they are blessings from God.
May you learn to listen to your parents and choose to respect them.
