Day 330 – Mark 14: 50
Then everyone deserted him and fled.
Mark 14: 50, NIV
Jesus was abandoned by His disciples in the most heart-breaking moment of His life. Instead of staying with their master, they fled away and left Him. It must have been so painful for Jesus to see His disciples leave. It was not an easy thing to do. He needs to abide in the Father’s will on His own. If Jesus, who is perfect and pure, experienced this kind of pain, then we who are sinners are not also exempted from this. We will also go through brokenness. But just like what Jesus did, may we also learn to abide in God despite the pain we encounter in life. May we choose to love Him even if our hearts are breaking.
I pray that you will remain faithful to God even in moments of suffering.
