Day 402 – Luke 6:20
Looking at his disciples, he said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.”
Luke 6:20, NIV
Those who are poor in spirit are people who acknowledge the truth that they are nothing without the help of God. They are poor because they are aware that God alone can satisfy the thirst and hunger that they feel inside. They chose to lean on His presence and depend on His ways because they knew that they were poor enough to fix themselves. The Kingdom of God is closer to those who seek more of Him. Let’s not forget that we need God. So let’s depend on Him and not on our own ways. Let’s remember that He alone can satisfy the emptiness that we feel within.
May you always thirst and hunger for God’s love.
