Looking at his disciples, he said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.” Luke 6:20, NIV Those who are poor in spirit are people who acknowledge the truth that they are nothing without the help of God. They are poor because they are aware that God alone can satisfy the thirst and hunger that they feel inside.
