Day 448 – Luke 14:11
For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
Luke 14:11,NIV
Sometimes we badly want to put ourselves first because of our pride, but remember that God wanted us to stay humble. He sees our hearts. He knows our motives. So surrender your ego in the presence of God and allow Him to transform your heart. Don’t exalt yourself as if you are better than anyone else. At the end of the day, God uses a different standard. We may sometimes think that we deserve to experience something great in His presence, but God alone determines those who are worthy to receive it. So instead of putting your interest above others, humbly accept God’s will first and stay humble. Only then will you experience what it means to be exalted in His presence.
