Happiness And Pain: How Can They Be Friends?

Pain can sometimes hinder us from experiencing the fullness of life. But one way or another, pain can also remind us about the important things that we need to consider. It will give us lessons that will change the way we look at life. It will either make or break us. But if we learn to handle it correctly, the pain will lead us to the place we wanted to be.

On the other hand, happiness is what all of us wanted to experience every day. It gives us hope for our future. When we are happy, we get to do the things that we love to do. It refreshes our soul and strengthens us. That’s why all this time, I’m just wondering. How can we be happy while going through some pain? Or maybe happiness and pain are somewhat connected. They can’t be together at the same time, but they are friends. They have this deep connection inside. Happiness will come in the moment pain will be over.

And that’s the beauty of happiness and pain. One cannot live without the other. There’s no real and genuine happiness if you never experienced the pain in the first place. They are very opposite, but they can perfectly work together. Though they can’t do it at the same moment. But they know when to take charge and fulfill the purpose that they need to do. They are both important in our lives. And without happiness and pain, we will never know how to value the important things.

I’m not saying that we need to experience pain for the rest of our lives. But the truth is, sometimes we also need to feel the pain. So whatever painful experience that you have right now, always remember that happiness and pain are great friends, and they will help you. They know the perfect timing. Pain will just send a message to happiness and rest assured that happiness will be there when pain is over.

I hope you will treat them as friends as well. You don’t have to punish yourself because of the things that you are going through right now. Life can be so mysterious sometimes, but as long as you learn to appreciate everything that’s happening in your life, you will always know how to deal with it. You will always have the courage to face it.

Jesus also experienced pain, but after that, He made us happy through His gift of salvation. He offered us His amazing grace. Jesus also went through the same thing. So always put this in your heart. The pain and brokenness in your life will soon end. Believe that one day, you will learn to accept the things that life throws at you, and you will smile again.
