Happy Sacrifices Do Exist

Doing difficult things for the people we love is what we called happy sacrifices. Sometimes, when we hear the word sacrifice, the words that come out to our mind are pain, hardships, and struggles. But then, making sacrifices is not that negative. It can actually lead us to become better a person for the people around us, and more importantly, in the eyes of God. That’s why it’s okay to compromise your selfish desires for the sake of serving others. At the end of the day, our sacrifices will always be worth it as long as we offer it to God and choose to please Him rather than doing things that will destroy us in the end. You may not understand the reason why you need to go through a difficult season right now, but offer all your experiences to God. And He will make things beautiful in His time.

You will receive real joy the moment you try to do things for the sake of glorifying God. It may appear so challenging at first, but when you learn to stay committed to Him, you will feel so fulfilled within. It’s like receiving a treasure that this world can never offer. When you sacrifice for God, it’s like you are offering your life to Him. You are simply giving up all your selfish intentions and allow Him to reign inside. When you treat Him as your King, then it simply means that you are devoting yourself to honor and love Him with all your heart, even if it takes a sacrifice.

Everything is going to be worth it in the end. The hardships and pain will turn into a testimony. Your tears will turn into gladness. And God will use the things that you sacrificed before as an open door for Him to pour out more of His blessings. You will not understand it now because all you see are struggles and pain. But time will come when you will no longer feel the emptiness within. And everything that you did for God will make sense. Just wait and be patient because God will always fulfill His promises.

God wants to build up your character.  That’s why He is pushing you to step out of your comfort zone. He will require you to give up a lot of things along the way. Until you realize that only Him can fill the emptiness in your heart. One day, you will learn to put Him at the center of your life. You will rejoice in doing the things that will please His name, even if it means sacrificing your life for Him.
