His Word

Let’s Pray That God Will Teach Us How To Let Go Of The Grudges Inside

While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” Then he fell on his knees and cried out, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” When he had said this, he fell asleep.

Acts 7: 59-60, NIV

Stephen died with faith in his heart. He chose to pray even when he was in pain and suffering. In fact, he didn’t hold grudges. With a humble heart, he asked God to forgive those people who stoned him. If I experienced the same pain, most probably I would complain and ask God for questions. But Stephen did the exact opposite. His life is a great reminder for me not to focus on the difficulties and struggles that I experienced. Instead, I need to learn how to surrender in the arms of God.

There are days in life when it’s just hard to keep our faith. As much as we want to remember God’s promises, there are just moments when our hearts are filled with doubts and worries. That’s why we need to be reminded about the right thing to do. And Stephen’s life is a great example for us to follow. Let’s pray that God will teach us how to let go of the grudges. Let’s ask for the Holy Spirit to intervene. That He may use our lives, just like what He did to Stephen.

Learn to forgive those people who broke your heart. This may not be an easy thing to do but allow God’s love to consume your soul, and you will receive God’s healing. Pray that God will teach you how to trust Him. Seek His presence, and you will find His light. The Holy Spirit will lead you back to Jesus. He will give you the courage to forgive and surrender.

One day, your story will become a testimony. You may go through suffering, but your faithfulness to God will bless someone’s life. Things may not end the way you want it to be. But trust that your faith will never be in vain. When you look back, you will realize that your tears are worth it.

Prayer: Father God, thank you so much for reminding me to stay faithful to you. Please teach me to forgive and love those who broke my heart. I pray that you will give me the grace to face all the struggles and pain. Mold my heart, Lord, and make it pure. May you continue to use my life for the expansion of your Kingdom. Thank you, Holy Spirit. Thank you, Jesus, for giving me faith. In Your mighty Name, I pray, amen.

Thank you so much for this! Your words through God’s Word comforted me of my brokenness, and unforgiving heart towards a loved one. You are God’s annointed! God bless the works of your hands.
