Poem

Long Term

Don’t trade your maturity
For just security
Don’t trade your growth
For just temporary pleasures

Don’t trade your breakthroughs
For just fears and worries
Brief happiness is enticing
But focus on what God wants

Sometimes you need to sacrifice
Instant rewards and things
To fully receive
Eternal treasures and blessings

Think of the long-term consequences
Don’t just focus on your desires
Imagine the impact of your decisions
To the people and your life

God sees the bigger picture
So when He asks you to do something
It means that He wants you to learn it
He wants you to embrace a Christlike character

Sometimes it will hurt
It will go deep within your soul
He breaks but aligns them
Open your eyes to see the right things

He will heal your soul
Pain will wash away impurities
And only then will you mature
Learn and grow more in the journey

The process is not easy
You need to wait patiently
Won’t always receive answers
But it will all be worth it
