Remind yourself that God gave all of us the Freedom to Choose

God is not controlling. In fact, He gave all of us the freedom to choose. He may allow certain situations to happen in your life, but you can always manage your thoughts and reactions. You are not a robot. You are not programmed to do limited things. God already presented you with the resources that you need. And it’s your choice if you will use them or not. God has the power to transform your life, but He can’t do it if you won’t allow Him. He will never force you to do something you don’t want. His plans for you may be great, but you won’t experience them if you will keep following your own will. You need to learn how to abide by His ways. You need to humble yourself and use your freedom for God’s glory.

Stop blaming God. You can absolutely take charge of your life. You can make your own decisions. Stop acting as if you are the victim because the truth is, no matter how difficult your situation is, there is always a way. God will give you enough options. It’s just you can’t appreciate His grace because you choose to focus on your own understanding. You can’t value the resources that He gave because you follow your own will. You treat yourself as the ruler of your life, and you only listen to your own voice. Stop accusing Him of the things that He didn’t do. Sometimes, the difficulties that you experience are just consequences of your wrong choices.

You can start the change in your life. There is still hope. If you can choose the wrong way, then God also gave you the freedom to choose the right thing. You will see the light if you are just willing to give up your own will and allow God to take over. Use your freedom to glorify Him. You can do it as long as you rely on His love. You can experience relief as long as you allow Him to guide and lead you. Don’t trust in your own understanding. Instead, follow God. Listen to His instructions and give Him a chance to move.

You will only be guided the moment you learn how to surrender your freedom in His presence. He can’t totally transform you if you keep on doing what you want. You need to give up your selfish desires and allow Him to reign. You need to die so that Christ can live in your life. Let the freedom that He gave lead you to experience real transformation. From then on, choose to align everything in His presence and allow Him to take over. Don’t worry. He will never disappoint you. There may be pain along the journey, but you will always end up in victory. If you treat Him as your God and Savior, then He will teach you how to properly use your freedom.
