Sometimes, God Will Not Always Finish Your Story The Way You Expect It To Be
You can’t always have what you want, especially when it mainly involves someone’s decision. It’s just out of your control. Things won’t always turn out good. There are days when you’ll experience twists and turns. Your life is not always predictable. This is why a surrendered heart is like a strong weapon that will help you overcome the storms that come your way.
This is not just a matter of relying on your own strength, but it’s about trusting God even if your story seems to have a painful ending. Perhaps God has a different plan for your life. And the question is, are you willing to abide in His will even if you don’t know where you are going?
It’s good to create plans, but it becomes disappointing when you treat those plans as the only way to experience real life. When you just follow your own understanding, you won’t fully appreciate the blessings and favor of God. It’s better to make some plans and, at the same time, give God the space to mess up what you have pictured in mind. Just allow Him to alter your schedule or your timeline.
When you do, you will always treasure the journey regardless of its temporary ending. We somehow label our situation as permanent, as if nothing good will happen. But if you let God do His thing, He will make you realize that nothing is permanent unless He is the One who puts a period on it.
If God is not yet finished, then a miracle will still happen. He can raise the dead to life. He can instantly bring you to different places. That’s why your story will continue regardless of what you feel. But the ending lies not in your own wisdom but according to your faith in Him. You will only cherish every tear and heartbreak the moment you let go of your will and allow His love to reign.
Truth is, God’s ways are sometimes unpredictable. You will never know what storms or blessings are waiting for you. So align your expectations to God. Tell Him what you long for, and at the same time, let Him reveal to you His heart’s desire. Talk to Him and study His word, and you will realize that His ending is, sometimes, different from the movies. His ways are different from the ways of this world. His principles are sometimes the opposite of what you believe in. And unless you discover those differences, you will always have a hard time dealing with the unexpected circumstances in your life.
