Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. Psalm 20:7, NIV In David’s time, the kings usually trusted their chariots and horses. This represents the material things or possessions that they acquire or perhaps their human strengths. Their confidence was rooted in their earthly treasures. Sometimes, when we are already surrounded by good things, we tend to rely on them and not on the source Himself. We forget that everything that we have comes from God.
