His Word

Day 376 – Luke 4:7-8

Therefore, if You worship before me, it shall be Yours. Jesus answered him, “ It is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and serve Him only’”.

Luke 4:7-8, NIV

Satan tempted Jesus to worship him and He will receive the Kingdom of this world. The enemy gave Him the option not to suffer and sacrifice His life just to see His Kingdom reign. It was Jesus’ chance to save Himself, but He didn’t listen to the devil’s lie. Our Savior chose to remember the word of God and worship Him more than His own life. He was not tempted because He chose to glorify our Heavenly Father. He chose to love Him rather than saving Himself. May we also do the same thing. May we learn to choose God over the temporary pleasures that the enemy can offer to us.

I pray that you will stay in love with God and choose to honor Him more than anything else.
