I Smile Not Because I’m Strong, I’m Also Fighting Battles All Along

Some people think that happiness depends on your situation in life. But the truth is, you can always choose to smile and think of the positive things around you. It’s a matter of choice, and you should never base it according to your situation. The challenges will always be there because it’s part of life, but that doesn’t mean you cannot be happy because you are going through some painful things inside. You can always choose to smile despite all the hardships you are facing. Like you, I also encounter many problems, but somehow I learned a lot of things.

I know that there will be challenging roads along the journey. And that fact is very hard for me to accept before. I thought that when you do good things in life, you will never encounter problems. But then that is not the case, everyone will experience the same thing, and all of us will go through trials. No one is exempted. I realized that I can never control the circumstances in my life. That’s why I need to accept that it’s already part of the adventure that I must take. 

And because of the essential truth in life that I started to accept, I decided to get up and fight. At first, I feel so tired because I’m doing it all alone. But the moment I discovered that God will also fight for me, I realized that it’s not that hard at all. I just did what I can do and allow Him to take over. Because after all, only Him can rescue and protect me. I learned that life is worth living when you know that God will always be there.

I can always choose to look on the brighter side. I may not know what will happen next, but all I know is that better days are coming. I don’t know when and how, but I will soon get there. Everything will change, and that includes my situation right now. I just keep on hoping that God will always give me the strength to face it. I smile not because I am strong enough to face everything, but simply because I know that life must go on, and God will never leave me alone. He is the reason why I keep on moving ahead.
