Obeying the commands of God is like telling “I Love You Too” to Him
God gave us certain commands because He wants to protect and lead us to the future that He prepared. He loves us so much that He gave us instructions and guidelines about how to live this life according to His will. He alone knows what’s ahead. He is aware of the things that are waiting for us. God knows what we need to prepare for us to victoriously fight the battles in the future. There are just times when we can’t understand the reason behind all His commands. In our eyes, it seems so meaningless. We would often ask Him why we need to go through certain pain. We sometimes question His instructions thinking that it’s not what we truly need. But behind His commands are God’s ways of leading you to the right track. Every time He gives you instructions, it’s like He is telling you that He loves you so much that He wants you to experience better days ahead.
The question is, will you acknowledge that great love of God in your life? Will you accept His grace and mercy? If you want to know Him more and encounter His presence, then you need to do one thing first. OBEY. Behind His laws and principles are His protections. It won’t make sense at first, but the moment you choose to follow Him, even in times when you can’t understand Him, then that’s when your faith starts to grow. Your obedience to God is like a seed planted in fertile soil. You won’t instantly see the changes the moment you do what He commanded. But if you will just patiently wait, things will fall into the right places.
Choose to obey even if you can’t see what’s ahead. That’s what faith is for. Honor God’s sovereignty by following His instructions. Do it out of love and not out of obligation. Love God with all your heart, even in moments when you are in pain. Choose to acknowledge His voice even when the lies of the enemy are louder than His promises. Pause and wait until He gives you the wisdom that you need. Humbly acknowledge His will, and in such a way, you will also express your love for Him by responding to your problems according to His words. Trust God and know that His grace will be there to strengthen you.
God loves you so much. He gave you His commands because He wanted to be with you. You can’t simply connect to Him just by doing the things that you want to do. You need to abide in His ways. There are still so many things that you need to learn. That’s why you must surrender to His presence because He alone knows everything. Accept God’s love by obeying His commands. And one day, you will be blessed because when you look back, you will see the hands of God leading you to the right track.
