Day 388 – Luke 5:12
While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Luke 5: 12, NIV In Jesus’ time, those who have leprosy are no longer considered part of society. People stay away from them because their sickness is contagious. Aside from that, the religious leaders in their time consider it a punishment from God. They looked at the lepers as sinners who deserved to experience excruciating pain both physically and emotionally. Imagine, at this very moment, this leper walked…

Day 387 – Luke 5:11
So they pulled their boats up on the shore, left everything and followed Him. Luke 5:11, NIV Simon, James, and John witnessed a miracle that Jesus performed. He showed them what it feels like when He moves. But despite the wonderful miracle that they experienced, they did not stay with the blessing, but instead, they left everything and followed Jesus. This is a wonderful reminder for us to fix our eyes on Jesus and not on the miracles that He did in our lives. Let’s follow where He goes because it’s Him who knows our purpose here on earth. Without Him, we are nothing. He alone can lead us to…

Your Faith can save you from Greater Pain
Most of the time, God will ask you to keep your faith not because He is blocking the blessings that you wanted to receive but because He is saving you from greater pain. He will ask you to wait on His promises so that you will no longer walk along the path that will break your heart. You don’t have to try everything just for you to learn. All you need to do is trust and wait on His perfect timing. And it takes faith to do it. Believing in things that you can’t even see is sometimes harder than taking the most difficult test that your teacher can give.…

Day 376 – Luke 4:7-8
Therefore, if You worship before me, it shall be Yours. Jesus answered him, “ It is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God and serve Him only’”. Luke 4:7-8, NIV Satan tempted Jesus to worship him and He will receive the Kingdom of this world. The enemy gave Him the option not to suffer and sacrifice His life just to see His Kingdom reign. It was Jesus’ chance to save Himself, but He didn’t listen to the devil’s lie. Our Savior chose to remember the word of God and worship Him more than His own life. He was not tempted because He chose to glorify our Heavenly Father. He…

Day 375 – Luke 4:3-4
The devil said to Him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.” Jesus answered, “It is written:’ Man shall not live on bread alone.’” Luke 4:3-4, NIV Jesus was in the wilderness when Satan tempted Him to use His power to satisfy His needs. During this moment, Jesus was so hungry, that’s why the enemy used this need to tempt Him to do something for Himself. Sometimes, just like Jesus, we also go through this kind of temptation in life. The devil will remind us about the things that we desire and He will convince us to seek them first rather than follow God.…

Day 370 – Luke 2:51
Then He went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But His mother treasured all these things in her heart. Luke 2: 51, NIV This event happened when Jesus was still 12 years old. He decided to stay in Jerusalem and be in the house of God. Mary and Joseph looked for Him for 3 days. They found the young Jesus at the temple, and then He went down to Nazareth and chose to obey his earthly family. The remarkable part of this verse is that Mary treasured these ordinary days with Jesus. She chose to take delight in Him while growing up. Maybe she doesn’t have…

Day 348 – John 14:3
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:3, NIV Jesus said these words to His disciples. He assured them that He was preparing a place where they could rest. And when the time is right, He will return and take them. Receive these encouraging words in your life. If you feel so tired and weary, always remember that it won’t last forever. Your Savior prepared a place where you can find rest and peace. In heaven, you will no longer shed tears because of pain. He will…

Day 347 – Mark 16:15
He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Mark 16:15, NIV We are called to share the good news with those who are lost and broken. Jesus commanded us to preach the gospel to all creation. So do not hide your light. Jesus is in your heart, so allow Him to shine. Proclaiming the good news is not just about sharing His words, but it’s deeper than that. You can share the love of Jesus through your actions. You can glorify His name through your daily decisions. He gave you the grace you need not just for your own benefit, but He…

Day 345 – Mark 16:7
But go, tell His disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see Him, just as He told you.’ Mark 16: 7, NIV During the day of Jesus’ resurrection, an angel of the Lord appeared to the women and said these words. He asked them to inform His disciples especially Peter about the good news. Before Jesus was crucified, Peter denied Him for three times, and that caused him to feel so guilty and sad. And there’s a wonderful reason why He was especially mentioned by the angel. It’s because Jesus is inviting him again in His arms. He didn’t condemn Peter for what…

Day 344 – Mark 15:31
In the same way the chief priests and the teachers of the law mocked him among themselves. “He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save himself! Mark 15:31, NIV Jesus chose to save you rather than saving Himself. He offered His life as a sacrifice. He needs to forget Himself so that you will live. He was even mocked despite the good things and the miracles that He did. Jesus chose you so that you will experience heaven with Him. So when you are bombarded by so many challenges in life, always remember the sacrifice that Jesus did on the cross. He was thinking of you, so choose to…
